"The acquisition is fully in line with our ambition to grow together with workshops based on high quality and accessibility", says Staffan Lindewald, CEO of Malte Månson.
Two strong entrepreneurs started Kalmar Trucks in 2014, filling a gap in the market in eastern Småland.
Andréas Frisk and Andreas Karlsson were at the time both experienced mechanics and workshop managers at branded workshops, with the idea of being able to deliver both professionalism and a high level of service in a stand-alone facility.
Kalmar Trucks grew rapidly. With 14 employees, an annual turnover of approximately 50 MSEK and with authorization for IVECO and DAF, the company is today well established in a growing market.
"To be able to continue developing the business together with all colleagues within the Malte Månson Group feels very good", says Andréas Frisk, Chairman of the Board of Kalmar Trucks.
"It is clearly inspiring to become part of the leading independent commercial vehicle chain in Sweden."
For the past three years, Kalmar Trucks has been operating in a brand new 1,400 sqm facility. There is also a tyre workshop of approximately 1,500 sqm.
"We have been in dialogue with Kalmar Trucks for some time and now that we have agreed on the future, we are further strengthening the Malte Månson brand," says Staffan Lindewald, CEO of Malte Månson.
"The way Kalmar Trucks has developed in a short period of time is very impressive and we are now looking forward to continue growing in the important region of eastern Småland".
"Andréas Frisk and Andreas Karlsson will remain with Kalmar Trucks, in their existing roles".
