With a fantastic distribution location, access to Scandinavia's largest container port and the country's highest concentration of heavy vehicles, a presence in the Gothenburg area has long been an important goal for Malte Månson.
Now the goal is reached.
"Through the acquisition of Gottes in Gothenburg, we are now entering Scandinavia's most important logistics centre", says Staffan Lindewald, CEO of Malte Månson Holding.
"I am both proud and happy that we are now in place, especially in the cooperation with Gottes and the excellence that exists there," continues Staffan Lindewald.
Gottes truck workshop is an institution on the west coast, with a perfect location after the E6 in Hisings Backa. The company was founded back in 1923 and has always been synonymous with personal service, accessibility and quality. For 22 years, entrepreneur Michael Larsson and his wife have been the owners.
"I have worked at Gottes since the late 1980s and now look forward to continuing to develop the business together with Malte Månson, who has recently really moved up in the market," says Michael Larsson.
"It feels good to sell to Malte Månson. We will be part of the Malte family, but will of course continue to benefit greatly from Gottes, as the brand is so strong and well established in our home market. We are known as a qualitative and personal truck workshop with high customer satisfaction for all makes and with DAF authorisation".
Malte Månson has a tailwind
"The determined efforts of the past few years to become Sweden's largest independent truck workshop chain have paid off," says Staffan Lindewald.
"In the first nine months of the year, organic growth for the entire chain was 17%. If we include the acquisitions, the figure rises to almost 30%. At the same time, we are reporting a marked improvement in profitability, which means that Malte Månson is now a clearly profitable company."
"With the wind at our back, we intend to continue expanding. In a short time we have established ourselves in Stockholm and Gothenburg with a total of three facilities - something that our customers have really appreciated".
